Our History

Our story began in 2006 when Ruben Castillo worked at minimum wage for a few local contractors and there he learned about different trades in the construction industry. He discovered his passion for painting. Along the way Ruben met an owner of a local painting company that hired Ruben by the hour. He encouraged Ruben to start his own company as it would help increase business on both ends. With a total life savings of $200 Ruben decided to take the challenge and began his new business, naming it after his last name, translated into english, Castle.  He started managing it right from his rented bedroom in the suburbs of Hamilton, OH. Not only did Ruben take on jobs from the painting company but he began to build his own clientele. Through repetitive customer satisfaction he started believing in himself and expanded his services into remodeling.  He believes that his theology degree, helped shape his business character and leadership skills, incorporating his honored values of integrity, passion, quality, and service.

Years later, Ruben was married to his beloved wife, Cory, whom after intending to pursue a career in early childhood education discovered an interest in studying business especially with the purpose to support her husband. The basement of their home in Fairfield became too small to store all their office and field equipment that they proposed to relocate in a commercial setting, which helped attract more business.

Today, Ruben and Cory own and operate Castle Painting & Remodeling, a family-owned business, located in West Chester Township serving a wide variety of clients from residential and commercial property owners and managers to investors and non-profit organizations, alongside raising five wonderful children.
